The Sportinglife Website is an excellent source of information not only for horse racing, but all the major sports are given comprehensive coverage.
This site is freely available; you need no subscription, its very user friendly and has something for virtually everyone.
A lot of content on this site involves information and mathematics and although mainly based on Horse Racing, the same process of information combined with mathematics can be converted to the sport of your choice.
Football, Cricket, Rugby Union, Rugby League, Greyhounds, Golf, Tennis, Formula One, Boxing, Snooker and NFL are all given good coverage.
The racecards are simple, clear and easy to use, the race verdict is always worth a read, click on Horse, Trainer or Jockey to view further information. What I really like about this site is that it’s uncluttered considering the amount of information available.
At the top of each page is an information box containing Horse Ratingsand other useful information, the 5 Star Ratings show at a glance how competitive a race is, for instance look for how many horses are given 3 or more stars, if there are more than 4 such horses the race is quite competitive.
It’s not a case of leaving the race alone necessarily, but you would want a decent price to compensate for the extra competition plus the ever present unknown factor, one of the lesser lights in the race springing a surprise.
Other information on offer is Official Ratings, Top Jockeys, Trainers and a nice little feature called “Head to Head”
Well worth a look because some horses seem to have the winning habit against other competitors in the race.
